What this site is not

This website has no booking engine. You cannot create an account or log in, and no payment of any kind can be made through these pages, so nothing here takes a card number. The gaming floor upstairs is described on this site but not operated through it. If a page asks you for payment details in the name of this hotel, it is not ours.

What is collected if you only read

Nothing that identifies you is collected. No tag is loaded, no profile is built and no measurement cookie is written unless you have said yes in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

The two values kept in your browser

• ad_age_ok records that you answered the age question on the home page, so that it stops asking. It holds only the word yes.
• ad_consent records whether you accepted or declined measurement and advertising. Its value is either granted or denied.

Both are stored by your own browser on your own device. They are not sent to us and are not readable by anyone else, and clearing your browser data removes them. If your browser blocks local storage, as private windows often do, the site asks again next time.

Server logs

The hosting provider records the usual technical details of every request: IP address, time, the page asked for, the referring page and the browser string. These exist so that the site can be kept running and defended against abuse. They are held for 30 days and then overwritten, and we do not use them to build a picture of individual visitors.

The contact form

If you write to us through the form on the contact page, we receive whatever you put in it: your name, your email address, the topic you chose and your message. We use it only to answer you. Please do not type card numbers, passport or licence numbers, health details or anything about gambling habits into it; if you do, we delete it as soon as we have read it.

Analytics and advertising

Google Consent Mode v2 runs in the head of every page and sets advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation and analytics storage to denied before anything else happens. No analytics or advertising tag is installed on the site at the moment this page was reviewed. If one is added later, it will stay denied until you choose Accept in the cookie bar, and the Cookie Policy will be updated to name it before it goes live.

Lawful bases

• Consent for measurement and advertising storage, which you give or withhold in the cookie bar and can change at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer.
• Legitimate interests for server logs and basic security, because a published website has to be kept available and protected.
• Steps at your request for answering a message you send us through the form or by email.

How long things are kept

Server logs: 30 days. Contact form messages and the email thread that follows: up to 12 months, then deleted. The two browser values: until you clear them. Nothing from this website is added to a marketing list.

Who else sees it

Our hosting provider, because the site runs on their machines, and our email provider, because messages arrive in a mailbox. Neither is permitted to use the content for their own purposes. We do not sell any of it or share any of it with advertising networks. If an Australian authority makes a lawful demand we comply with it and, where the law allows, we tell you.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and complain if you think we have mishandled it. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and you contacted us from there, you may also ask for erasure, restriction or a copy of your data in a portable form, and you may complain to your national supervisory authority.

Children

This website is written for adults. The gaming floor is restricted to people aged 18 and over, and the age question on the home page is there for that reason. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If a child has sent us something through the form, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes, the review date at the top changes with it. If the change matters, for example if a measurement tag is added, a short note appears on this page and in the cookie bar for the first 30 days.
