Small print
Cookie Policy
Last reviewed 26 October 2026
Short version: this website writes two small values into your own browser and loads no tracking tag unless you press Accept. It uses no social or advertising pixels and no fingerprinting.
The two keys, by name
ad_age_ok: local storage, set when you answer the age question on the home page. Value:yes. Purpose: stop asking you on every visit. Kept until you clear your browser data. Strictly necessary for how the home page works.ad_consent: local storage, set when you press Accept or Decline in the bar at the bottom. Value:grantedordenied. Purpose: remember your answer and apply it on every page. Kept until you clear your browser data or change it.
Strictly speaking both are local storage entries, not cookies, which means your browser keeps them and never attaches them to a request. Neither contains your name, an email address or any identifier for you.
What Consent Mode v2 does
A short script in the head of every page runs before anything else and tells Google's tag framework that consent is denied for all four signals: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage. It also sets a 500 millisecond wait, so that a tag, if one is ever present, holds still until your stored answer has been read. Pressing Accept sends an update that flips all four to granted; pressing Decline sends an update that confirms all four as denied.
What would be set if a tag were added
At the date of this review no analytics or advertising tag is installed. If Google Analytics 4 is added later, and only after you accept, it would set _ga and a _ga_ identifier for the property, both first-party, both lasting about two years, both used to count visits and see which pages people read. If Google Ads conversion tracking is added, and again only after you accept, it would set _gcl_au for roughly 90 days to attribute a visit to an advertisement. Nothing of the sort is written while your answer is Decline or while you have not answered.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. The bar comes back, and whichever button you press overwrites the stored answer straight away without a reload.
Blocking it at the browser instead
Every browser can refuse storage for a given site. In Chrome it is Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies and site data. In Firefox it is Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data. In Safari it is Settings, Privacy. In Edge it is Settings, Cookies and site permissions. A private window usually blocks storage altogether, in which case this site will ask the age question on every visit and the cookie bar will reappear. This is expected behaviour and does not indicate a fault.
